Dubai, under Law No. 26 of 2007 as amended by Law No. 33 of 2008. Notice of any change to the contract terms, including rent, must be in writing and served at least 90 days before expiry unless the contract agrees a different period. Eviction on the permitted grounds requires 12 months notice through a notary or registered mail. Other emirates have their own rules. Disputes go to the Rental Dispute Centre.
